THE CHALLENGE
"When this eye type is open, the lid disappears and you can't see the crease, so you need to create a look of depth.

Hooded Eyes

Step 1: Sweep a light shadow from your lash line to halfway up the lid (or where a crease would be).

Step 2: Apply a medium shade into your "crease"

Step 3: Using a dark eye pencil or shadow, draw a thin precise line along the upper lashes to give them definition.

Step 4: "Highlight the brow bone right under the arch with a shimmery shade, to add lift and light to the eye.

Brow Tip: Keep your brows on the thin side so there's more space between them and your lash line.

THE CHALLENGE:
If the space between your eyes is less then the length of an eye, you need to use shading to make them look farther apart.

Close - Set Eyes

Step 1: Dust a light shadow from your lash line up onto your brow bone. Also
sweep the color around your tear duct, into the inner corner, and down under
the bottom lid a little bit.

Step 2: Use a medium shadow along the lash line, starting at the iris
and moving out to the outer corner.

Step 3: Blend dark shadow along the outer one-third of your upper lash
line. Apply mascara (swipe outer lashes twice).

Brow Tip: Create the illusion that the eyes are farther apart by
plucking a few extra hairs from the inner corners of the brow.

THE CHALLENGE:
To make your eyes appear bigger, enhance their shape with contouring and avoid too much dark shadow.

Small Eyes

Step 1: Line the inside of the lower lid with a light peach-colored pencil to make eyes look bigger and brighter.

Step 2: Apply a light hue from the lash line to brow bone.

Step 3: Brush a medium color in the crease of the eye.

Step 4: Sweep a darker shade along the outer corner of the lower lash line to the pupil. Then curl your lashes to open up your eyes even more. Finish with two coats of mascara.

BROW TIPS: A thinner brow with a higher arch will give your eye more real estate and and help eyes appear larger.

THE CHALLENGE:
These eyes look a bit sunken-in. To draw them out, lighten up the eye socket and enhance your lashes and your brows.

Deep - Set Eyes

Step 1: Use a light shadow over your entire lid from the lash line to just below the brow bone. "A light-reflective shadow will bring the whole area forward visually."

Step 2: Dot a brown or gray shadow or liner along the entire upper lash line, but "keep the line thin," You just want to make the lashes look thicker. Finish with a curling and lengthening mascara.

BROW TIP: Keep brows well-groomed. Pluck a graceful gradual arch to help draw attention away from the depth of the eye.
